The Great Schools Trust is delighted to announce that Cadet Colour Sergeant Leo Robinson from King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes, has been recognised and commended by his Lord-Lieutenants to receive the Lord Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service for exceptional service.

Now in Year 11 Cadet Colour Sergeant Robinson, has been a longstanding member of the King’s Hawthornes CCF.  Squadron Leader Richard Walsh RAFAC had this to say,

‘Leo embodies and embraces the Royal Marine’s Core Values and has demonstrated the “commando spirit” throughout his time as a Cadet. He has achieved many accolades, including a school-based award for his services to the CCF, and continuously upholds the values we seek from our cadets. He has always shown humility and humour when working with his peers, however shows character and confidence making him a natural leader. His self-discipline has always found him looking for that next challenge, constantly aspiring for excellence. Since deciding on a career with the Royal Marines his determination and commitment have been obvious.’

Peter Gaul, the Principal at King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes commented,

‘Leo’s commitment to the school’s CCF has been exemplary throughout. This has been recognised by his receiving of this most prestigious award. It is a great honour for our school, his family and Leo himself. Very well done, Leo!’
