Neil Hughes

Neil brings over 27 years of experience in public service and community engagement to his role as Senior Partnerships Officer at the Great Schools Trust. His extensive background in supporting families and working collaboratively with a wide range of agencies gives him a deep understanding of how to help children thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

In his role, Neil focuses on improving school attendance and student wellbeing, particularly for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. He leads on developing and delivering data-informed strategies, ensuring that interventions are effective, compassionate, and aligned with the Trust’s values.

Neil is passionate about building positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and local communities. His approach centres on removing barriers to education and helping every child enjoy and succeed in their learning journey.

Although Neil works across the Trust, he is currently based at King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool, where he continues to strengthen partnerships and drive the Trust’s mission of making every child a successful citizen.
