A Trust United in Reflection: Remembrance Day Across Great Schools Trust
This year’s Remembrance Day brought our schools together in a moment of deep respect and reflection, as students and staff across the Great Schools Trust paused to honour those who served and sacrificed. Led with pride by our CCF (RAF) cadets, each school held its own ceremony, distinct in setting, yet united in spirit.
From Year 8 to Year 11, our students stood side by side to remember the fallen, demonstrating unity, gratitude and leadership in the true King’s tradition. The sight of our cadets leading the proceedings, supported by students across the Trust, reflects the strength of character that sits at the heart of our mission.
Why This Day Matters
Remembrance Day is more than a tradition. It is a moment that reminds us of the values we aim to cultivate every day—respect, service, courage and solidarity. Across our schools:
• Students led with dignity, upholding an important national moment with maturity beyond their years.
• Our CCF (RAF) cadets represented the Trust with pride, modelling the leadership, discipline and character we build through our unique curriculum.
• Communities gathered in unity, showing that remembrance is not just an act of looking back, but a commitment to living with purpose today.
These ceremonies capture who we are: a community shaped by gratitude, character, and a shared commitment to serve something greater than ourselves.
