I started my teaching career at St Wilfrid’s which was a precursor to King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes which became part of the Great Schools Trust in 2014. Through expert coaching and mentoring from various senior leaders across the trust, I became an Assistant Principal at King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool before taking on the role of Founding Principal of King’s Leadership Academy Bolton.
I have been able to progress through my career because of the expert support I have received and the trust shown in me by Great Schools Trust. It is a privilege to work for an organisation that values leadership and supports staff at all levels to achieve their potential.
I became a teacher to affect real change in communities that needed it the most and be a force for good in young peoples’ lives. Although I am not from this region I am passionate about improving the life chances of young people from the North West.
