Facilities & Estates Manager

My background is in the British Army, having spent 24 years in service and reaching the rank of Warrant Officer Class 2 Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant. I served with the Royal Tank Regiment and completed several overseas tours. I have spent the last 10 years in facilities and management roles both in the UK and abroad, advising on health and safety matters as well as completing my NEBOSH general certificate.

I was looking to start something new and decided working for the GST was the ideal move. After such a long career in the military, I felt it was time to move on and give a bit back to society.

My role within the GST is to ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and refurbishment of the Trust’s estates and facilities. I ensure that all health and safety guidelines are adhered to, and that all facilities comply with statutory requirements and are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Going forward in my role, my goal is to ensure the estate and facilities within the Trust are in good condition, thus providing a safe and secure learning and teaching environment for both students and teachers. I would also like to use my knowledge gained during my military career to assist the CCF in training and events in the future.
